Missionary Team
Renald Veilleux
Evangelist, Waterloo, Quebec
Current ministry:
Since 2008, Renald is a key member of the church planting team in Waterloo, Quebec, where he serves primarily as an evangelist. His role is to model and teach evangelism to the church family in order to mobilize and train believers to reach their families and friends with the Gospel.
The church in Waterloo began in 2008 as one of several daughter-works of the church in Granby.
Spiritual background:
Renald was born in the town of Saint-George-de-Beauce, about 90 kilometres southwest of Quebec City. Renald accepted the Lord in 1981, in response to the vibrant testimony of one of his coworkers, while working in the town of Granby. From that point on, his life was radically changed and he set his heart on growing in his new faith and serving the Lord.
Ministry experience:
In 1987-88, he participated on a JBEQ (Youth Evangelism/Church Planting) team in Fabreville, Laval. In 1990, he served for a year in the town of Sainte-Aurélie, near his birthplace. In 1993, he went to France for two months of ministry and again in 1996, he set aside an entire year to help at the church in Sainte-Aurélie. Then in 1997, Renald was called to pastor the church at Sainte-Aurélie on a full-time basis.
Then Renald moved to the town of New Richmond on the Gaspé peninsula where he served the small congregation that had been without a pastor for some time. In 2005, Renald relocated to Rimouski to work alongside Pastor Claude Beaulieu and to serve the church there as a pastor-evangelist. Together they had a ministry that included other churches in the Gaspé region.
